Medical Technologies Innovation Facility (MTIF) is a medical technologies and advanced materials convergent technology organization, with a strong academic pedigree and expertise in pioneering medical device, cell therapy and regenerative medicine research and development. MTIF is a dual facility site based in Nottingham, UK, and together with our strategic partnerships we can support cell therapy development work flow ‘end to end’, from source material requirements to material supply for clinical trials, swiftly and efficiently to meet our customer unique needs.
The field of cell therapy offers significant therapeutic promise. Working in collaboration with our partners, MTIF have developed an integrated set of capabilities, facilities and equipment, together with personnel expertise to support cell therapy development. MTIF capabilities include isolation, purification, characterization, differentiation, enrichment and expansion of both autologous and allogeneic sources of cells. MTIF has a portfolio of specialist equipment including flow cytometers, cell sorters and the Hamamatsu FDSS®/μCELL functional laboratory screening technology.
Through a partnership with Hamamatsu, MTIF are delighted to be able to offer its customers access to the FDSS®/μCELL at its Nottingham facility. This unique opportunity to utilize this high through-put technology to screen for pharmacological activity will enable organizations of every size the opportunity to accelerate their cell and drug discovery programs.
In addition, MTIF has extensive experience in designing, testing and documenting the biological safety of products according to international standards and regional regulatory requirements. MTIF is able to offer its customers smart and cost effective test strategies that enable products to be successfully brought to market in a timely manner.
